Ceea ce m-a făcut să îmi placă și mai mult la aceste training-uri au fost deosebitele calități, charisma și desigur expreriența personală a celor care au ținut training-urile. Aceste componente sunt esențiale și au o deosebită relevanță în acest domeniu, de altfel ca în oricare altul.

Acestea sunt impresiile lăsate de una dintre participantele proiectului Youth Development Program, desfășurat în primăvara aceasta.

Ne dorim să împlinim așteptările, de aceea părerile, impresiile și sugestiile tale au o importanță seminificativă pentru noi. Astfel, după fiecare training și workshop ținute în cadrul proiectului Youth Development Program, participanții și-au împărtășit  impresiile cu echipa organizatorică și companiile.
Acest proiect, pe lângă faptul că a oferit suport informațional pe mai multe teme, a  ajutat pe unii participanți să-și găsească un loc pentru stagiul de practică:

“Sunt foarte mulțumit de training-ul de la BRD. Fiind student la Științe Economice, știu cât e de complicat să-ți găsești un loc pentru stagiu de practică și acum mi-am găsit “.

Pe parcursul celor două săptămâni de training, reprezentanții Von Consulting, HR Analytics, Ascendis, Brastar, IT&T Consulting, BRD  și VendOn au oferit informații relvante pe  patru arii diferite: Marketing, Personal Development, Public Speaking și Sales .

“Fiecare training din programul YDP mi-a conformat unele lucruri de care nu eram sigură. La cel de vânzări mi-am dat seama că dacă vrei să obții multe pe plan profesional, trebuie mai întâi de toate să ai stabilitate pe plan personal. Până la urmă banul n-ar trebuie să fie focus-ul meu principal în perioada facultații, ci experientă practică. Sper ca în viitorul apropiat activitățile pentru studenți să nu se rezume doar la training-uri și să se extindă la oportunități de a acumula experiență practică”

De asemenea, am observat că mulţi dintre cei care au participat la proiect şi-au exprimat dorinţa de a pleca într-un stagiu de practică internaţională, facilitat de AIESEC pentru a acumula experienţă practică relevantă pentru pregătirea lor profesională.

La cea de doua ediția, Youth Development Program a acordat șansa celor 160 de participanți de a interacționa cu mediul business brașovean într-un cadru mai puțin formal, în cadrul momentelor de networking de la finalul training-urilor și la Gala de închidere.

AIESEC Brașov va urmări în continuare să ofere tinerilor oportunități de dezvoltare prin proiectele pe care le desfășoară, contribuind astfel la impactul pe care aceștia îl vor avea în societate.

Te întrebi cum? E simplu, noi  venim cu ceva nou pentru tine în vara asta, îți propunem să combini utilul cu plăcutul, oferindu-ți ocazia să mergi într-un stagiu de practică  într-o altă țară.

Profită de această ocazie de a vedea cât de splendidă este Rusia, cu un aspect imperial în Moscova și St Petersburg și un peisaj spectaculos în Siberia. Vizitează Polonia o țară cu  o istorie bogată, veche de o mie de ani, cu influenţe atât din occident, cât şi orient. Influențe care astăzi,  sunt vizibile în arhitectura, folclorul şi arta ţării. Desigur, ți-am pregătit și oferte mai speciale, cu un caracter mai exotic, cum ar fi Brazilia și Filipine.

Acum asta nu mai e un vis, deoarece tu, prin intermediul proiectului “Ar Merge!” îți poți îndeplini dorința vizitând o țară nouă, cunoscând oameni și culturi noi, toate acestea în timp ce faci un stagiu de practică internațională bazat pe dezvoltare sau pe educație.

Ce câștigi tu?

• Îţi alegi durata (între 6 și 78 săptămâni) şi domeniul stagiului de practică;
• Costurile sunt minime;
• Îţi îmbunătăţeşti experienţa într-un mediu internaţional;
• Îmbini utilul cu plăcutul ;
• Cunoşti noi moduri de lucru şi puncte de vedere;
• Cunoşti aspectele unei alte culturi;
• Cheltuielile lunare îţi vor fi acoperite (prin asigurarea cazării şi a mesei);
• AIESEC facilitează procedurile legale (viza) şi cele legate de acomodare.

Vara asta poate să fie mai deosebită de celelalte, poate fi așa cu vrei tu! Noi ne-am luat angajamnetul să-ți oferim un cadru favorabil pentru a face lucruri care-ți plac și care-ți sunt utile. AIESEC îți va oferi pregătirea personală și profesională de care ai nevoie penru a pleca în acest stagiu. Fii tu cel care face schimbarea, luând de la vara asta ce e mai frumos. Ar merge!

Proiectul a durat şase săptămâni, timp în care trei studenţi internaţionali, veniţi special pentru acest proiect au ţinut training-uri la licee. Training-urile au avut tematici diferite de fiecare dată abordând subiecte precum Team Spirit, Self Branding, Taking Initiative şi Cultural Bariers.

Pe lângă training-uri, participanții au avut parte și de teambuilding-uri și evenimente în cadrul cărora să pună în aplicare ce au învățat.

În cadrul World Café, elevii au avut ocazia să pună în aplicare cunoștințele accumulate în modulul Taking Initiative. Au fost implicate şase ONG-uri din Braşov precum Crucea Roşie, Hospice, Salvaţi Copii cu ajutorulcărora elevii au coneput proiecte pentru aceste organizații.

Cel mai important eveniment al proiectului a fost Global Race, în cadrul căruia elevii au participat la o cursă cu indicii prin centrul vechi al Braşovului cu scopul de a găsi Global Village.

Momentul culminant al acestei curse a fost la ora 14:00 în Piaţa Sfatului când toţi elevii s-au reunit acolo şi timp de şapte minute au “îngheţat”. Mesajul a fost “Stop! Pentru un moment de internaționalism”, prin care vroiam să atragem atenţia trecătorilor cu privire la interculturalitate. După această probă elevii au plecat din nou în căutarea următorului indiciu.

O dată ce au ajuns la Global Village elevii au avut ocazia de a cunoaşte mai bine cultura a 10 ţări diferite în special prin intermediul mâncărurilor dar și a porturilor tradiţionale. Au fost prezenți 20 de internaţionali veniţi din ţări precum Japonia, Nigeria, Georgia, Slovacia şi multe altele. Tot la Global Village au fost şi momente artistice precum o demonstraţie de săbii kendo, dansuri şi muzică tradiţională.

Proiectul a avut Gala de închidere următoarea zi pe data de 25 aprilie. Aici elevii au primit diplome de participare şi şi-au luat rămas bun de la internaţionali.

World Citizenship a fost o experienţă minunată, de vis! Nu pot să cred că s-a terminat aşa repede. Am învăţat multe lucruri pe care nu le înveţi la şcoală, am întâlnit oameni din alte ţări cu care nu credeam să ajung să vorbesc vreodată.

În primăvara aceasta, dăm start unor noi proiecte, proiecte ce ți se adresează ție și care te pot ajuta să devii mai bun în ceea ce faci. Unul dintre aceste proiecte este Youth Development Program, un proiect ce are drept scop crearea unei conexiuni între studenții interesați de dezvoltarea lor profesională și mediul business din Brașov. Astfel, ai și tu posibilitatea să te înscrii și să participi la o serie de workshop-uri și training-uri pe teme de interes precum Marketing, Personal Development, Public speaking și Sales, oferite de companiile din orașul Brașov. Training-urile și workshop-urile se vor ține pe colina Universității în intervalul 29 aprilie – 14 mai, iar pentru mai multe detalii și date exacte privind desfășurarea training-urilor intră pe ydp.aiesecbv.ro unde ai pus la dispoziție și formularul de aplicare.

Acest proiect te poate ajuta să-ţi dezvolţi abilităţile în domeniu tău de activitate  prin intermediul sesiunilor de pregătire livrate de companiile implicate în proiect, iar cei mai activi dintre participanți, vor avea şansa să meargă într-un stagiu de practică internaţională, facilitat de AIESEC Braşov.

Dacă ești cel care își dorește mai mult de la viața de student, dacă ești deschis pentru nou, dornic de a învăța, cunoaște și perfecționa, acest proiect este pentru tine . Merită să profiţi de toate experienţele AIESEC pentru a te forma ca personalitate.

Pe parcursul a patru săptămâni, studenţii de la facultăţile de Matematică şi Ingineria Calculatoarelor au beneficiat de workshop-uri ţinute de reprezentanţii companiilor braşovene din domeniu.

În cadrul acestora, participanţii au avut ocazia să-şi consolideze şi să-şi aplice cunoştinţele teoretice obţinute pe băncile universităţii, acumulând experienţă practică.

În cadrul IT Challenge 3.0 s-au desfăşurat worshop-uri pe două tematici:

• Software Development
• Web Design

Patru companii, implicate pe proiect, au reuşit să ofere celor 70 de participanţi oportunitatea de a deveni competitivi în domeniul lor de activitate.

Cei mai buni dintre aceştia au primit premii în bani, stagii de practică în cadrul companiilor implicate pe proiect, iar doi dintre ei au oportunitatea să-şi dezvolte propria afacere on-line.

„IT Challenge 3.0 pentru mine a fost a treia experienţă de acest gen. Am participat şi la primele două ediţii unde pe lângă cunoştinţele tehnice acumulate am avut parte şi de o experienţă placută. La ITC 3.0 mi s-a acordat suportul să-mi dezvolt propria afacere on-line, un site de servicii de web design. Este un proiect personal pe care intenţionez ca pe viitor sa îl dezvolt, folosindu-mă de cunoştintele acumulate în cadrul workshop-ului de web design. „

„Participarea la ITC 3.0 şi la toate workshop-urile din cadrul acestui proiect mi-au adus pe lângă cunoştinţele noi şi un  premiu: hosting şi suport web pentru site-ul de anunţuri gratuite  realizat de mine. Este  o nouă opţiune pentru viitoarea mea profesie.”

AIESEC Braşov a reuşit prin acest proiect să satisfacă o parte din necesităţile profesionale ale viitorilor specialişti din domeniul IT&C –experienţa practică în domeniul IT.

La buna desfăşurare a proiectului a contribuit  echipa de organizare, formată din membri AIESEC care au beneficiat de oportunitatea de a avea un impact pozitiv în societate.

Iată care era părerea coordonatoarei de proiect, Mihaela  GRIGORE, la începutul proiectului:

“Acumulând suficientă experienţă pe parcursul a două ediţii, mi-am luat inima în dinţi şi am făcut un pas înainte. Acum sunt coordonatorul celei de-a treia ediţii a proiectului IT Challenge. Am ales să trec la următorul nivel în experienţa şi dezvoltarea mea, deoarece mi-am dorit să “gust” din ceea ce înseamnă leadership, să am posibilitatea să coordonez o echipă de oameni  şi să ducem tradiţia şi brand-ul proiectului IT Challenge mai departe, în rândul studenţilor şi al companiilor din domeniul IT&C.”

Prin activităţile pe care le desfăşoară de 16 ani încoace, AIESEC Braşov are un impact benefic asupra societăţii, oferind membrilor experienţă naţională şi internaţională, care contribuie la dezvoltarea lor personală şi profesională.

World Citizenship became a real brand among high schools from Brasov, developing students of all ages. This autumn, Jenny (New Zeeland) and Rik (UK) came to deliver sessions to more than 100 high school students from 7 schools.

What was great about this project? Not only the cool methods which the trainees had in delivering trainings, but also three practical events which had great impact on the development of involved students. So we had an outdoors Team Building focused on Communication games; we had a World Café which involved over 70 students and 3 NGOs focused on working with young people… It was like a small AIESEC conference in which the kids split in home groups and made different projects which have been applied in the NGOs.

At the end we had a Global Village which gathered over 100 kids and students, from which 28 were internationals from 16 different countries. 14 countries have been represented at the Global Village with food, drinks, flags, costumes, objects, sweets, musical instruments, money and, of course, at least one person from each country!! The event also had a 2 hour panel discussion in which the kids asked the internationals funny and interesting questions about their countries.

What was interesting about this event? It was included in a successful Reception Weekend in which trainees from 5 LCs came and enjoyed our city doing activities like parties, city tour and trip to Dracula’s Castle. The kids were involved too!

At the end of the project there was a closing gala with songs, laughter, crying and hugging. The trainees had special presentations and the students received diplomas for participating in the project. How cool is that?

“Joining the World Citizenship project was one of the smartest moves I’ve made lately, as it has been extremely fun, and, in the same time, I’ve learned a lot of interesting and useful things. Oh, and I’ve met a lot of great people. It was one opportunity that I am glad I didn’t miss. (…) The most interesting part of the project, in my opinion, was the last activity, where we got to meet people from all around the world: Sri Lanka, Poland, New Zeeland, Taiwan, Jordan, Nigeria are just a few of the countries represented there. We got to share parts of the history of their countries, lifestyles and we got to eat some of their traditional food. How cool is that?! And in the evening, we partied with them. Fun fun fun!!!

In conclusion, I advise everyone to join, especially if in doubt. It was surely worth it, not a waste of time and entertaining. And it was also a practice for your English above all. As I said before, it is possibly once in a lifetime opportunity that you’ll regret missing. So if you have the chance, join! “

Just Business consisted of two days of presentations and  trainings about business development, sales, business market, online businesses, and in the last day, of Bears Arena (Arena Ursilor).  Among the speakers were: Nicolae Tucunel ( president of Brasov ‘s Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Claudiu Gamulescu (online business developer), Radu Craciun (Bear – investor, member of the jury), Radu Ioan Tudorache (Bear – investor, member of the jury).

Bears Arena is a  financial competition in which the delegates present their business plans in front or the Bears – the jury. If their business plans are good, the investors  can help them by financing their future businesses. Even though only one participant of eight won, the other seven received feedback and recommandations from the Bears. Sometimes is not only about winning.

Don’t forget our motto: “Nothing personal, Just Business”.

Just Business, or the Bears’ Arena, as known by many, was the event that changed a bit the perception on myself, boosted my self-confidence and offered me a new perspective on what does it mean to be professional. It required a lot of work, both from me and the team I have led. I have worked under pressure because of the deadline represented by the date the conference had to be held on and because of the presence of our stakeholders who had to be impressed so that we could enjoy their participation in our future events. I encourage all those who want to enjoy an unforgettable experience to make their way to the position of coordoniting such an event.

Nothing personal, Just Business. This is our conference motto, but it was personal and not just business. This conference was a new opportunity for us to develop our skills and knowledge about entrepreneurship in general. It was more than that, it was an opportunity to do great networking, to start building new relations, to develop our business ideas, to develop ourselves. And we did that, even more than that, we met people that usually we can’t reach, because they’re businessmen and we are just students. They don’t care if you are a student, they care that you are young and smart , and have great potential – entrepreneur potential. They gave us feedback, advices. They addressed us as friends, not as potentially employers.

Me as a organizing committee member, I felt the same way  as all the delegates felt: “this is an opportunity to develop me and my ideas”.

And this was only the first edition, the first try, now imagine the second edition how it will be.

So it’s personal and not just business, at least for me.

It’s history started over an year ago at the national conference of sustainability organized in Bucharest for the future leaders. The purpose of this conference was to raise knowledge of the lack of CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) campaigns in Romania. The participants had to think a program on CSR which they could implement in their city.

Sustainability Education Program in Brasov had as purpose for students to have delivered for them trainings on the topic of Sustainability. For companies we made a CSR campaign in which with their help we’ve inlaided new parquet at Centrul Vietii Noi in Brasov, a center for homeless youngs.

Now,when I think about SEP all I can do is to smile! Although it was my third time as project manager, this experience was unique for me. It was a challenge from many points of view! The main challenge was that we had to discuss with companies to persuade them to get involved in the project although there was financial crisis, to make them understand that CSR is not just “cleaning up the trash in the parc”, to make them understand that CSR is not PR! Therefore I was satisfied that we had two main parteners: BRD and Kronospan. With there help we put a smile on the faces of homeless young people from “Centrul Vietii Noi”.

Another challenge for me was to lead a team to work together in the same purpose, to make them know more about sustainability and to change a liltle their way of life-to make them “change agents of sustainabilty”.

After this experience, I only wish that companies and people in Brasov and Romania will start to take action in sustainability and they will act with responsabilty! Why? Because “We Can!” or as AIESECers say: “SEPoate!”

On SEP I’ve learned first of all what is social responsibility, what can we do as individuals to act sustainable, and how companies use this concept in Romania. Also SEP was a great challenge for me as salesman, it gave me the opportunity to negociate with big companies and with small companies too and it was a complete sales-experience which helped me in AIESEC and which will help me in my career.

IT Challenge is the most popular project of AIESEC Brasov, being a continuous project and a becoming brand. Because it is at the third edition we can say that through time not only objectives and goals were reached but it developed and became popular for companies and students.

The link between students and companies was created in the workshops from the three tracks of the project: Software Development, Electronic Design and Web Design, moderated by delegates from project’s partners. These workshops challenged the students to apply for the contest from the ending of each track. So the closing gala had a part for the winners of the competition.

All these things have been possible thanks to a team of 10 passionate people. They work hardly but all the time with pleasure and the difficult moments they passed together.

After project’s evaluation the score it  got from companies was 8 from 1 to 10 and this makes us happy and ready to go further.

“For me, IT Challenge is more than a project. It was the beginning of my AIESEC experience, being the first team I joined. In this team I learned what means to apply a project, what responsibilities involves and how all the elements are connected (sales, financial, promo etc). At the second edition, being in the organizing committee, the passed experience helped me to envision what will happen and I also could help my colleagues from other areas.

I really enjoyed working with people who are really passionate by this domain and what they do. This helped me to realize that when you work with passion, the results will be more qualitative.

Accumulating enough experience during two editions, I got enough courage up to go further. Now I am the project manager of the third edition. As a team, the IT Challenge 3.0 organizing committee wishes to consolidate the IT Challenge brand through quality and professionalism. I don’t want to say more now, I’ll tell you when we’ll celebrate our work’s results”

‘Youth Development Program was one of the projects that reflected, this spring, the image of AIESEC Brasov, but also the wishes and thoughts of its AIESEC team.

During YDP period, 10 devoted project members gathered 7 companies from Brasov, alumni and 160 participants from the University.

Our purpose as a team was to make a connection between the companies and students interested in marketing, sales, personal development, communication & public speaking through professional trainings.

Even if there were several critical moments, Youth Development Program succeeded to have a wonderful, united and motivated team. Each member demonstrated during the process that their willing of success is the key of project success.

For me, YDP was an intense learning experience..
Regarding YDP team, the begining was shy and insecure .. we didn’t know each other very well and we didn’t have to much experience.

After this, I understood that only together we will succeed. The results camed as we growed and each of us got involved.

What’s my feeling after YDP?
I discovered that behind every successful project is a united team .. a responsible, pragmatic and ambitious team. Fortunately, I found these things in YDP team.

Last but not least, I grew along with 10 ambitious people who later becamed my best friends in AIESEC. It’s wonderful to discover that AIESEC is not just about tasks and meetings.. AIESEC it’s about friends with who you can share the same passions and ambitions.
